Dual Cam

I just bought a dual cam from ebay ( P/N : 904074 ) Rev. 1.0.
I know very little about these cams but from my understanding it's su[pposed to be able to do I1,I2 and Conax. However when put it into a strong box, it sees it a s a Conax CAM.

My question is do I have to program it to switch to Irdeto or is it only a Conax CAM.

What do you see when you go into the CA (CI?) menu of the Strong? Can you change any of the cam settings to irdeto?

I got it working. For anyone interested. It seems to toggle from Irdeto to Conax by taking out and reinserting the CAM.

I now have an option for 4 digit password which I don't have. Any ideas anyone. I tried the usual suspect 0000, 1111, etc but no luck.

I've the same problem with a Irdeto/Conax cam in a ID Digital C24 box whereby it would always go to Conax on switching on. I also discovered pulling the cam in and out would get it to change to Irdeto but sometimes it takes 10 or so tries and always goes back to Conax after switching off. I've been unsuccessful in finding any other way to get it to change.

is it an ultimate cam ????? because i dont think they actually have a pin code so if asked just push enter/ok etc

when I looked on the lefdata website that's what it looked like to me also.

Yes, mine is a Ulti-Mate cam but I don't remember ever having the option of entering a pin or even enter or OK. When I go to the CA it tells me Conax just about everytime until I strike it lucky with Irdeto.

I have 2 ultimate cams here both pn.904074 rev1.0 on back label says Officially Licensed by Irdeto access,conax.
By default on inserting into a ci slot of a Strong4800,going to ca menu shows Irdeto,will run a Selectv sub card reliabley.
In an Emtech200 up the slot,then ca menu,again shows irdeto an runs selectv
ok,so this is for both in two different reciever.
In ca menu I dont see any option to change to Conax from irdeto?or vise versa?
As per new Strong recievers they all say conax,but will happily run irdeto,cards.
have you tried it?the cam with a card?
Ive found my 2 cams faultless,better than a Smit irdeto ,that seems to overheat an produces pixelated pictures ,with card in ,when hot.
