is there anything better than Supreme Commander for real time strategies at the moment?
this game is friggin awesome.
its done away with most of the resource building with can get pretty tiresome in these games and gets back to good old fashioned war machine building.
easy but great.

you can go down the nostalgia track and play the 'total annilation' series . Supreme commander is based on these

lol.. your lucky to play it, i cant even play on my pc... still perfer C&C if u havent try thoses

The C&C series is definately high in the list of RTS games, however i would still say that Supreme Commander is at the top. The sheer number of ways a match can play out is immense, you get wiped out in 15 minutes or the game goes for 3 hours.

plus the variety of well balanced units, the maps, they definately did a very good job in making it.

Since I built my i7 920 system I have played the game to death, then saw supreme commander Forged Allianace at JBs for $20, so grab that and also played it to death, when the wifes away I get to play, volume up load, love the game. Finally took me away from Total Annihilations

Supreme Commander is still the king of the war-machine tactical style RTS games. While it doesn't have the depth or fantastic plot of games like Warcraft III and others, its a great game for just building hundreds ot units and wiping the floor with some AI or opponent
