    Default Simpson dishwashers

    Hi Folks,
I have a Simpson Eziset dishwasher Model 52B870SJ*01. It washes ok, but the water is not heated anymore and the dry cycle is now cold. Is this a easy fix??any hints to what it could be or how to check the heating element?
    Thanks

When I was servicing appliances I wouldn't touch Simpson products - dishwashers especially.
They wire them "upside down" - that is, phase live, switched neutrals. This causes no end of problem when things get wet and the insulation starts to break down.
The sensors cause the controller to go crazy and the machine doesn't know what to do.
By the look of this diagram, they're still doing it.

I know this is not exactly what your looking for but I used a Simpson dishwasher when i was renting in my previous place, it was the biggest piece of shite I have ever used and it wouldn't wash properly, I ended up not using it and did everything by hand. From what Studio1 is saying it looks like the whole range is shite to work on.. if it was mine I would not bother and get a second hand one or buy a new one.

I just went through dramas repairing my st george (rebranded dishlex) dishwasher which I did myself and changed three motors and a capacitor in the thing because the new ones I bought from electrolux kept leaking. The only reason I persisted with it is a new motor was only $200 and the thing washes very well.

Hi guys new here. I'm tinkering with a Simpson Silencio 972 in the hope I can use it for home brew bottle sterilising. Any leads to online manuals such as the one above would be appreciated.

    The Mega is squashed! :-(

I know it's an old thread, but that diagram/manual would be handy for me and my old Simpson.

Yes i have had bad experience with Simpson electrics too, they wire them to a different design, and parts are not easy to come by

Default service manual for simpson 52b850wj*05 (label electrolux)

any clues on the service manual wiring diagram on this old (now) dishwasher?
    Any help gratefully appreciated.
Problem is cycle goes mid way then stops not continuing.
Is it the timer, is it the heating and thermostat which does not heat the water and so does not correctly continue the wash?
these are all guesses on my part.

Just not familiar with this gear but give me complicated lsi electronics and broadcast high power transmitters and woohay.
However not ready to give up just yet, much to the family discussed.
thinking put the tong tested on mains and look for heating water at any part of the cycle maybe..
CCt would be much better though..

Long short, last stop before dry glutch tip!
