    Default DVD authoring program recommendations?

Okay, I've had it with Encore and its crashing on me! My projects have to be transcoded from my Panasonic SDR-H250 camera for some reason and it always has a dummy spit when doing it and causes the disc not to build. I've had enough!

Anyone got a recommendation on an authoring program like Encore. A few requirements, must be able to do multiple made menus (e.g I make them, say with an image thumbnail) and less crashes than Encore?

Anyone got one or an I screwed and have to stay with Encore. BTW I've heard the problem is still in CS4 even though I'm using CS3.

Ahhhhh, props guys, I ended putting nero on my PC as I couldnt find an app that just did the convert and burn easily.

I just installed TMPGEnc DVD Author from hoes link (thanks) and converted and burned in under 30mins.

    Now to completely remove Nero...

    Very Happy
    Cheers

Been playing with TMPEG to do a project that I was trying to do through encore, but cant seem to fiddle the menus (stuck in their templates).

What I was to do is have a menu at the start that is "Movies" and "Slideshows" and then from each of those go into "1st month", "2nd month" etc and then a submenu in that of movies. So I'm looking for something that will do 3 menus deep, plus split menus, TMPEG doesn't seem to do that and I cant find anything except encore that does this?

Any more suggestions. BTW TMPEG is great for standard movie DVDs bloody nice for the NHL discs I have.
