    Default copying Garmin g2 Vision cards

    anyone know if it's possible to copy the Garmin g2 Vision cards or format a normal SD card so it will be recognised as a Garmin card
    there is a software update available but the card you buy is only a 512 SD card, and has something like 20mb unused, the update is 55mb and of course won't fit

    I don't think I want to pay another $300 just for a software update

    What format is the card in ?
    Is the problem only that you need to generate the right card id for the software / maps to work ?
