    Default Topfield vs DGTEC PVR?

    Hi,
I have a friend who is looking to buy his first HD PVR. He has narrowed the choice down to Topfield TF7100HDPVRt and DGTEC HD320PVR. The DGTEC is selling for about $400 whereas the Topfield is over $600.

I am a Topfield fan but haven't used this model. On paper both models look very similar although I can't see any mention of an Ethernet interface on the DGTEC (for me this would be a show stopper).

Can anyone offer any comments based on experience? Any other reason to explain the big price difference?

Usability of either model, support issues etc.

    i'm a fan of Nextwave pvr 6990

its a 320gig pvr, twin hd tuners, rock solid performance & reliability, adjustable "ad skipping" increments, good remote, & good interface.

only -ve about them is no wireless or usb connectivity.

it uses the fta guides, but it does that very very well.

    cheers
    adam.
