Dm500 what emu to use ird1

Hello All,

I have just put Pli-jade on my dm500, also have put CCcam1.7.1 ( as this seems to be stable for what im about to try (from reading this forum all f*king day ))
I have a MOSC IRD1 card working in my Nokia 9500 for A*rora. ( so my keys are working ).
All I want to do is use my card details in the DM500, without the card inserted, and use an ird1 cam emu . (Im not after card share.)

I have found that when im in the softcam menu , press the yellow button for card details, it said card not found, I tried rs232 pheonix and card into DM500 rear still nogo.

I also place AutoRoll.Key and softCam.Key in the var/keys folder.

Im a total noob at CCcam, any input would be great. I have been on the forum all day reading and im now stuck.

I found one of the most handy tools is DCC[Dreambox control centre]
Accessing the Dreambox files through DCC.
Scam keys go in the Irdeto file PATH=Var/Keys/Irdeto
Key formatt[worked for myself]

When using DCC,Dont forget to right click on the softcam Key files and chmod or change the file attributes to 755.
Also the last 2 numbers of the provider keys are changed to 00 eg.= { 12 34 56 } is { 12 34 00 }

I have Dcc . I also use fireftp ( firefox ftp )
I just dont know if I have to change anything in the CCcam config so that the front card slot reads. I will try your ideas later. I see im also missing the constant.cw file, is it needed ?

doesnt CCcam remove the need for any card, if I put my keys into it..Hmm

Could someone PM me with an exmple config file please.

read the info of your card using lmedit and create an autoroll file as outlined above. You need a cam for both keys and cards.

OK, im still not getting far. Day 3

Q1 :do I need to run cccam2.0.0 AND scam3x at the same time ? or are you saying that you have used each ( not at the same time ) and worked ?

Q2 : in my Pli-jade image, softcam setup, I have 3 drop downs, Channel / prov / Default softcam. I think that I just have to select CCcam in the default soft cam drop down, and leave the others at defualt ( un touched ) save and reset cam. I even re-boot .

Q3 : As I have put my card prov 10 and PMk into Var/Keys/Irdeto. I dont have to used my MOSC v1.2 card in the front reader slot ? I have changed the file attributes to 755 on both key files.

Q4 : I dont want to CS so I should not have to change anything in the CCcam config ?

I do hope someone can help me.

I would try ScamX first
This is the first softcam i got working.
Set Scam X as default cam.
Make sure you have the correct key details.[ I used GGedit ]
Enter the details in the Irdeto file in the formatt shown earlier for ScamX.
If the details are correct and the formatt is done correctly,upon restting,and waiting for a little while you should see pictures.

This is without a Phoenix attached or a card in the front slot of the box.

Once you have 1 softcam working then you can change the default cam to another one,eg CCcam then try experimenting to try and get pictures with the settings required for that Cam.

Im running scam3x
I put all my key details into irdeto path. however I noticed that my path is all in lowercase note like your post:

Should I change it to be the same as yours ?

So with scam3x as default cam, I only need to put keys into correct place, no config changes, and no smart card needed.

ssshhhhsss i feel like such a noob. At least the MOSC card I made last night still works !

Maybe I'm missing something...if its a mosc, what did you use to put provID and PMK on the card?...Fmcard?...what ACS is it?... 1.2, 1.6?

Regardless...follow the instructions in post 5 and put anything in the second line. It will work until the next emk rollout. Make sure that you wait for a key update...that can take a few minutes sometimes.

I tried scam and it didn't work for me (No doubt I set something wrong)

I use CCcam 2.0.0 . It works fine.Just setup a Autoroll key and nothing else. The Softcam will automatically be generated.

Thanks for the many kind PM's etc, I have JUST got it going with newcamd 6.10b. thanks go to johna. I did try this b4 with the same card keys, but I must of stuffed it up some how. Im still on Pli-jade image also.
