Question Wii - how to downgrade firmware?

Anyone able to tell me how to downgrade the firmware on a Wii that has been chipped. It's currently got the latest update which seems to be the cause of some issues.

3.4 is the latest, from what i read it will now auto update(very bad)
3.3 still works for Homebrew and boot loaders, not Free Loader
    3.2 is still the best

It's not easy but its not hard either this site has almost all you need

You will need a copy of zelda twilight princess and a 2 gig sd card.

If you already have the homebrew channel up and going your on your way. If you have games that wish to update try running the iso through wii brickblocker and this will fix the game so you don't need to update to play it. Any questions let me know and i will try and help you out.

There's a good guide on YouTube called Downgrade wii firmware WORKS WITH 3.4! part 2 ( ) - it's in 3 parts, I'm on the 2nd part now.

Does this have to be done every time you want to play that game? Or does the console remember and you only do it once?

Try this as posted in another thread.

That's essentially the same as the You Tube video I posted up above.

I've got the same problem as what a lot of people seem to be having:

Step 14 - Updated (12-01-08) Appears this step was confusing. If you successfully completed
the above steps, then your Wii is back leveled. If you enter Wii Settings, it may still display 3.4u. If this
is the case, run 'the Homebrew Channel', install ‘cIOS Installer’. This updates the ‘cIOS_Fix’ that was previously
    installed.
All the steps were completed successfully, but it's still showing 3.4E in the settings. I can't find cIOS Installer in the Homebrew Channel. I have cIOS Downgrader though...

Problem solved, I ran cISO Downgrade v1.2 and installed 3.2E and now that is what I'm running. It was easy enough to downgrade.

Brickblocker is used before burning the iso to disk. This will remove the game asking for an update.

    Nathan,

    A little off track...

I ran BB on 2 games and although they show up in the wii channels when you click start the screen goes black and nothing happens.

Before that the disk indicated an update was required.

    ???

BrickBlocker moves the first partition, which is the update file, and replaces that with the boot partition

You can download the above ios and your game should work. It can be a bit of messing around if your not sure what your doing. ios 38 is required for animal crossing. if your wii is not soft modded and you don't use the homebrew channel updating firmware should be ok (but i would still stay away from 3.4 for the time being).

try this. worked perfectly on my 3.3E down to 3.2E, and ran it on a 3.2E and it modded SOME things. can still run the shop channel and allows you to run YOUR backups from the disc channel. no more backup channel.

EDIT: I used version 0.9.5 on the two Wiis i have softmodded. havent used v1 yet.
