A friend of mine is trying to help a sick Filipino fellow by setting up a dish and trying to get something for him to watch .
Are there any satellites he could try please

marty what size dish and is he chasing free to air or pay channels?
There is a pay service on intelsat 8 called ABS-CBN this is their home page . They list themselves as being available in australia.

around the $39 month mark on a contract term,for 4 channels plus couple of radio.Channels like Cinema one,with mostly older reruns of popular past filipino movies in ntsc vhs video quality an poor sound.

With the ABS-CBN channels on IS8KU, via them, you can also subscribe to SelecTV channels on the one card.

NB - TWO FTA Filipino TV channels on IS8 Cband, NET25 and GEM TV.

(C Band IS8 ABS-CBN mux has a couple of radio channels that load).
