Default How do I clone a 'dodgy aurora' card?

    Hi,

I want to have another decoder in bedroom so want to clone my 'dodgy aurora' card. The card is one of the new ones I just got it a few weeks ago.

Is this possible? What hardware/software will I need?

    Thanks

What's do dodgy about it if it's one of the new ones? And if it's Iredeto 2 then the answer is no you cannot copy it. You may pick up I1 details on other forums to make yourself a goldie. You will need a phoenix programmer and software which is available on the net. I would like to attached Farmsky's Tute but I can't!!!!

what do you mean when you say dodgy card is one of the new ones .

1: is it a gold card

2: is it a real payed sub

3: is it a gamma (white card )

    if its

1: then as long as it is not protected code i just used ggedit

    2: no chance

3: even less of a chance
dont say linux if i wanted it id install it

If it's a dodgy 'Aurora' it's probably a gold or Silver.
Use the program MP 3.4-3.5 Utility V0.90 by TJ (TJ1965) a copy is
Once the communication protocols are set
    Select the PIC tab
From the right hand panel select whatever your dodgy card is (Gold / silver fun etc…)
From the middle panel, un tick the Code Protect
    SELECT READ

Save the resultant PIC and EPROM files to am appropriate location
    Take out the original card
Put in a New Card of the same type

    Select the Auto Detect tab
Place a tick in ‘Don’t Save…., Pic Cards and Ext EE
    Select Auto Detect
    Return to the Pic tab
    Select Program

You’ve just made a copy as along as your original isn't code protected.
Ohh, it's been mentioned elsewhere so I didn't think I'd need to repeat it but to accomplish all of this you will need a card programmer, I use an Elvis and/or a Jaycar Mk II

The easiest way is using a program called lave Multi edit also called " ggedit " as fandtm666 mentioned. Once you have card ready for the info simply read the first card and hit save. Then put the other one in and load the saved info.

The above info is for Elvis programmer only.!

Try reading and editing the card with ggedit like like Sanity has said.
