The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Think Here they can arrest you with suspicion?Oz?and hold you for a time?to do further enquirey?Right or Wrong? not sure?I better watch out next time I go to Wicked Weasel to check out the bikini babes! OH!I might be Logged!or Blocked!our Mr.Rudd is sure to jump on this,to save our souls? For our own Good!
I'd be shocked if the law couldn't be interpreted here the same way that it is in the UK. Of course they would generally have to have a probably cause to do it anyway and could just get a warrant if they felt like it without anyone knowing to do this.
Guess you just have to keep your security up which may not be a bad thing when you consider how many people get ripped by amateurs "hacking" their accounts and computers.
Coding in C is like sending a 3 year old to do groceries. You gotta tell them exactly what you want or you'll end up with a cupboard full of pop tarts and pancake mix.
Most police in this country dont even know how to turn a computer on
U bet ya they will a few years down track they will use it against Oz, in some type of way, war, it always happens!!!.
No matter who they out source it to, the company who wins it is sourcing our info!!!

It should all be outsourced to India.
what could possibly go wrong...
lol I know, all rules are handled by a foreign country for the GATE WAY what can come in, out how sucky that is they must be on a tight budget, or no quals in Oz to handle it!!!
Foreigners have access to the gate way, what a joke!!!
z80 u might be on the money with a tight budget...
There are a lot more than 10 and there are a lot more agencies then AFP that have the capability and this is not new back in the 90’s the Americans where trailing a client server application called DIRT. A copy of which leaked and was downloadable which made many people very unhappy.
I am not stressed if they poked around my machine, as they would die of boredom. I am sure there are far more interesting ones around and if it helps stop bad people more power to them.
That said I think Rudd’s net filter is a far greater threat as I do not believe it’s just to stop child porn that is just the justification to establish the system. They claim to have a list of 10,000 sites to block.
If they know, the sites why not just scan the ISP logs, see who accesses them, and kick their doors in if they show a pattern of access.
I was talking computer crime, fraud, and porn, etc in AFP lucky to be 10 of the experts employed within this department who specialise in it.
Yes there are other agencies not known to public of this that sniff out our system “PC’s” since 9/11.
All web pages visited are logged by our ISP’s so Ur busted no matter what depending how long they keep there logs. Go Linux
It’s like the phone u say kill bill; more then likely word recognition starts....
All I see here is yet another doom and gloom censorship thread, a pile of people who do nothing but criticize a proposed plan with good intentions.
So much paranoia and prediction of liberty violations, yet no offer of viable alternatives.
Who cares if 1% of sites are inadvertently blocked, it will be up to them to comply with the other 99% that aren't blocked.
Small inconvenience for a good outcome.
It's a pity the majority of Australians dont agree with you.
