    Default getting xbox360 live going

    first of all, i dunno jack about networking
    my nephews wanna get there 360 live going through their telstra nextg wireless connection.
    they have:
    xp sp3
    next g wireless broadband modem model bp3-ext
    xbox 360

    does anyone know the settings to get it going through these things?

    Is this the Usb modem we are talking about, if so ICS (internet connection sharing) through XP, this means the computer or laptop must be on

    What type of network card does the pc/laptop have, ie: gigabit or 10/100 old style
    Gigabit - use the erthnet cable that comes with the Xbox
    10/100 - use a crossover ethernrt cable (usaully red)

    Go to network options on the pc/laptop and right click the telstra / wireless connection and choose Properties then Advance and tick Sharing

    Leave the Xbox network settings on auto and test connection

    dunno if this helps somewhere along the line but xbox live is 1500 mtu minimum, dont know what nextG modems are set at but probably 1576.
