zipped or rared in torrents, all about 700mb ( divx and such doesn't compress as it is already.)
You can probably get ones in less resolution but then they are crap on a plasma or lcd.
Hey i may be in the wrong spot but move it if the need be.
i want to be able to download a few movies and am unsure of the formats to use. I use torrents at the moment but wondered if there is a way to download them as a compressed format that uses less of my ISP allocated bandwidth.
Thanks

What happens if I press alt + F4?
Have you researched downloads
Try rmvb , they seem to be ok and cut your downloads down to a minimum , grab a rapidshare account and toddle off to softarchive.

Hi,
As rob916 said.
You can then convert them back to DVD if your player requires the DVD format
If anyone is interested the rmvb format can be converted to dvd with converxtodvd , its a great little program and does a fabulous job.
Cheers
