Hi I just bought a Nokia 6110 Navigator and I am waiting for it to be delivered. I live in a area where my gsm phone gets virtually no signal and have been desperate to get a Next G phone as the sig here is perfect... however, I just got told that the 6110 I bought will not actually work on Next G! Can anyone confirm this and explain why or will it be ok on Next G? Thanks in advance

"According to Nokia's website, the 6110 works on EGSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz and WCDMA HSDPA 2100MHz networks.
Telstra's Next G network is WCDMA HSDPA 850MHz.
Basically Telstra doesn't sell it because it won't work on the Next G network.
If you're looking for a Nokia on Next G, check out the Nokia 6120, which we'll have in for review next week."
I can tell you that the Nokia 6120 would be an ideal NextG phone to have as I've recently spoken to some former workmates of mine who conduct the field tests for Telstra informed me that the 6120 performs better than the LG TU550 which has the "Blue Tick".
