OMG......
Well SFE. There is multiple ways to do all sorts of things.
I suggest you search under Card Sharing on this very site eh
Hello all,
A close mate of mine has foxtel with this receiver:
(only image I could find on the net of his box)
It has a card slotted in the front of it with a foxtel card and is also connected to the phone line.
Its not HD or IQ1/2 far as me and him know.
Mind you there is somthing he does to get free PPV which was amazing simple see.
He wants to have multiple outlets + Receivers in four parts of the house including an receiver put in a granny flat out the back for his elderly mother, one in the mans room and another two in the family room and the bedroom.
Now what Foxtel want him to pay for multiple outlets + receivers + extra fee per month is absolutely disgusting.
So what he has asked me to do is chase up some information as to how he can go around doing this (ranging from receivers needed, right to any sorts of cards or copiers needed and where to buy these things from).
I myself am a RF Engineer by trade, so I have a good idea about getting foxtel around the house and as such for my time and effor he said I can have a copy (or how ever it happens) of his foxtel card for my work.
I am a satellite newbie and know very little in this area when it comes to cards/copiers/sharing ect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why type of card/box is it from the image?
Tell me more, point me in the directions of some tutorials valid for this.
Thanks.
A tutorial on card sharing you say. Well i thought i did?
SFE, he's a hint. It's not something you are going to work out or understand in 2 posts, nor is it something you will tackle on the first night.
Lets just say that buy the time you work it all out and purchase the appropriate equipment, it will be cheaper, faster and more reliable for your mate to start paying the extra coin each month
Other options are a Video Sender / RF modulators etc.
But if you want to continue down the fun and learning side...
As for your mate not wanting to pay? Everyone else in Australia does...... is he different?
Reality is an invention of my imagination.
