    Default Foxtel And Dbox2

    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anybody could help me out.
Im currently in Australia and i am using the German version of "md-image" on my Sagem satellite dbox2(2x intel chips). I also got a valid genuine foxtel smartcard.
My major problem is, that i am not able to select the right satellite from the list, so i can't search for channels. :-(.
Any suggestions which image i should use instead, or how i do add a satellite to the list manually?

    Help is really appreciated

    Kind Regards,

    Marcel

    Hi Marcel

I have myself a Nokia Dbox2 here in Nz.
Currently have a PowerBoard Image loaded which i have found to be one of the best images to date. Stabilty and control is pretty much on a par with my Dreambox's.
As with many images from Europe, you will find that our local Satellites are not included in there releases.
From memory the Powerboard image does include our local Satellites (Ie Optus C1, D1 , D2 Etc).
If you are not interested in upgrading your image, then you next best option is to load on an updated or Local version of satellites.xml file , which is a small file that contains all the Transponder Freqs for the Various Sats in our locality.
Or alternativey You could just manually enter in a C1 Transponder under a European Satellite and check the NIT Scan option,. this will then Pull in the rest of the unknown Transponders on the C1 Sat.

As with your Foxxy Card, you probably wont have much luck getting that to run on the Dbox2.
The DBox2 card Reader would probably need to be Modded to enable other flavours to run it it.
Your best bet would be an external card reader via RS232..

    Hope that helps you out..

    Cheers

In order to your Dbox2 Sagem to be able to read the card you must install a Multicam ___http://cgi.ebay.de/DBOX2-BOX2-Multicam-AHAB2-fuer-Sagem-D-BOX-2-DBOX-MC_W0QQitemZ300297882244QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDE_Elek tronik_Computer_TV_Video_Elektronik_TV_Receiver?ha sh=item300297882244&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms =72%3A1229%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A131 8__ without this hardware the box will not read any card.
