Default Urgent Help, Opinion Needed Please!!!

how would you go about this?
I saw this ad in the trading post,
I got in contact with the seller and we arranged a pick up of 3 packages, thinking they are genuine, after I got home, I wanted install one of them to see if they are genuine, but something didn't feel right, so I decided not to open the package, and I used an original retail windows XP installation disc of mine, and I thought when I get to the stage where it asks for the 25 digits COA I would punch in the numbers of one of the packages, and I pressed ok, I got the message where it says the number you have entered is not valid, so obviously they are a cracked version with the look of a 100% genuine cd with the certificate and all.
Now my question here is, would you just contact the seller and try to get a refund?
    would you contact Microsoft?
would you just install it to customers computers pretending you didn't know that it wasn't a genuine?
By the way I am not sure if i use the installation disc provided in the package that it would accept the key that came with it, I don't want to risk opening one incase he won't refund me the money.

I have XP discs that only work with certain numbers

They look pretty good from the pics

Just phone the guy back and tell him you are going to install them at the local police station's internet computers in there lunch room and you just thought you would check back before you go ahead with the install just to make sure they are original as you don't want any problems from the coppers LOL

what do you mean, use the CD that came with? if I install it and stick the certificate of Authentication on the computer, and the customer looses his cd how is he going to be able to use the key to reinstall windows, if it only can be installed from that cd? is that legal?

There are different versions of XP. Your disc is not working with the number because it is the wrong version. If your worried about loosing the CD's, then make a few backup copies.

Ok guys I decided to give Microsoft a call, and I gave them one of the serial numbers, and guess what, they are 100% counterfeits, that look like the original, I rang the person that I bought them of, and she said that she will return my money this afternoon.
I guess it's better to return them, and not put my self in risk. Now I don't know if I open one of them and install it, if it's going to pass the genuine test and be able to update, I don't want to use any cracks, otherwise I would've use a cracked copy for free without paying $50.

The ad has now been removed from the trading post.
Did they meet you at the frankston pub when you bought the disks? From a bald guy?
What happens if I press alt + F4?

I am installing it now from an OEM CD if it goes good I'll keep them, if not, I am going to open one package and install it from their CD and see what's the go with it. I'll keep you informed as soon as I find out.

Ok I finished installing from an OEM cd and when you get to the activation it wouldn't take the key, so I tried to activate it over the phone, and when I put the 9 sets of 6 numbers, I got a message saying this product is not support it please return it to the reseller you purchased from ........., so really I don't any more proof than that, to say it's fake, I am just going to take it back. eventhough Microsoft offered that if I talk to their anti-piracy people, I will be eligible to replacement legit copies, But I don't want to get anyone in trouble, LOL
