Just go to your local electrical wholsaler and get the Mast Amplifier that the local contractors are using.

Is their anything i can do or anything i can buy to make sure i can get Adelaide Digital

I finally got my head together, now my bodies falling apart.

i'm moving to port lincoln next week
by the look of some of the antennas on the houses for sale that i've looked at some people have stacked VHF arrays on the roof pointing to Mt Lofty or thereabouts
the digital channels also seem to be on the VHF - you could try going higher with your antenna, stacking an array, a fringe masthead amp or all of the above to try pulling in the weak signal
i'm packing my satellite dishes as i don't think i can survive with the 4 local digital FTA channels.

I currently havnt got anything, what antenna should i get?
G'day Cobber,
May I suggest that if you do not have the requisite level of knowledge to do it yourself, that it would be wise to get a local qualified installer to quote.
You could end up buying the wrong expensive equipment, and experimenting on your hip pocket.
If that does not scare you, try consulting with some of the neighbors, but make sure they are in fact receiving acceptable signals.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".....
I wish to do it myself as i know how much an installer will cost, just wondering what type of antenna is the best around.
I can get the Freq for our digital service our of port lincoln and adelaide if that helps more.
As Beer4life suggests, go talk to the neighbours first as they have already done the hard yards and paid the dollars so you can benefit from their experience.
And have a good look at what is being used there.
I just checked my school atlas as I have chat friends in Whyalla who now get digital from Pt Pirie I believe and thought that could apply to you but Pt Lincoln to Adelaide is a damn site further, like a 150 miles, near 200 ks across the gulf??
Doesnt Pt Lincoln have its own translator or arent they joining the '15 channel Digital Revolution'?
We have a transmitter on Winters Hill Port Lincoln, which broadcast channel 4 and 10 out of Port Pirie. Same system that Whyalla is on.
As for the 15 channels i doubt we will get it.
But im still hoping.
You should ask over at dtv forum the same question. But Port Lincoln is doing better than Bunbury in dtv.
Go for a Band 3 only antenna for ADS NWS and SAS. Youve already got ABC and SBS on the local transmitter.
The DBA listing I have for Pt Lincoln shows
SBS 53 digital
SBS 54 Analog
SGS 57 Comm, Analog
ABS 59 digital
ABS 60 Analog
GTS 63 Comm, Analog
Wont these 2 commercial channels have to go digital by 2013 ?
I know its still 4 years away but you might even pick up the extra channel when they finally convert.
I am in a regional area in NSW and to be honest the amount of digital content particulaly HD being broadcast is pathetic.
Basically will it be worth the cost, time and effort to set up a suitable array for Adelaide?
