Options for Garmin Nuvi 250

I have had a Garmin 250 for just over 12 months now.

It is OK, only thing is that it is now saying to get map updates on startup.

I have heard I can get updates off the internet, but I am not sure what would be the best place to get this.

Obviously Garmin have their website, but I am also interested if I can go elsewhere and also get other things like red light and speed camera warning add ons.

Have also heard of being able to get some type of online traffic data report which can give advance notice of traffic jams upon which the Nuvi can advise a different road to bypass the traffic jam..

Does anyone have any experience or advise to give here - Many Thanks in advance
