    Default Mitsubishi 380 windows replacement.

    Kept telling him,

don't leave it at the railway station with the Tom Tom on the windscreen..

luckily got the manual on CD with exploded view to figure how to get the trim off without breaking anything.

    Total cost...$71.

I was worried about not damaging the plastic glass mounts...but they come pre-glued to the new glass...

Hmmm the little buggers dont learn till it happens to them.

Ive heard that even a suction cap mark left on the windscreen is enough reason for someone to break in.

Id be temped to park it back there with another tom tom and wait.....but thats just the way i handle these matters.

Good to see you took care of it yourself Zed, pity these useless junkies go around causing so much damage for people.

The need to make these gps units with a key or a pin code( but they won't because they get to sell more.)
No use stealing it f it don't work.
What happens if I press alt + F4?

The cops get so many to investigate I think it's not worth pursueing.

a mate's kid left a car unlocked but...they still smashed the window.

Garmin do that already. They also allow you to a "special location" in where you can return to if you forget the number. I dont beleive that Garmin can reset this code either

An interesting way to do the lost pin thing Chimp.

No good unless all manufacturers do it.
I think maybe 10 meters from the car and then a dye bomb and some c4 goes off, should be easy to spot offenders then.

Id be buying them just for the entertainment value when there's is nothing on tv to watch.

@Zed you got away lightly at $71 and the value of your tom tom.

Yep a real high IQ is needed to break the window on a unlocked car. Says a lot about the junkie doing it.

About 2 years ago we had many workers cars broken into at a public all day carpark at various days.

One day 1 spotted a group of about 5 youths start walking around the cars and looking through the windows from one of the offices at work.

I called the directors son to join me, hes an ex Victorian Taekwondo champ and 2nd or 3rd dan Zen Do Kai.

Never happened again after the confrontation.

Its amazing what a good beating can teach.
