While on Octagon's, I have a problem with my 518. Sometimes for some strange reason, when I change the tv aspect from say 16:9 to 4:3 or whatever, the audio pids change on Aljazeera and I lose sound on this channel only. I havent been able to find a pid edit on the stb so I have to scan it back in as a new channel. Anyone else have this issue and maybe know a solution?

I have s/w v2.66, h/w v2.01. Updated aug27 2007. Fuxtel card works here. Have you done the 9999 menu and got card update on yes? And irdeto selected as well maybe, I remember before the crash someone posted what to do if you couldn't get the nds and I think that was the answer...

i have one working fine with a fox card, whitey, aurora wafer. i won't be home for a couple of days so i can't tell you what firmware i loaded till then.

unless admin restores the forum before then, as i posted some info before the great crash of '07.

got the firmware from octogon fan club forum.

Don't forget to use the 9999 menu

Regarding the firmware, I have tested most of the newer updates...and they do not work.

The onlyone thats works {Foxt*l} is OCTAGON SF518 EMU AUD-SMART V0283-26-10-07

Please correct me if I am wrong

For everyones info, I will be testing the new firmware update OCTAGON SF518 EMU AU MAITRE 04 02 08 tomorow, I will report if this works with NDS etc.

Toor, Haven't seen the firmware for the 218 or the 418

Tested the OCTAGON SF518 EMU AU MAITRE 04 02 08 firmware, but it did not work, so I will have to go back to the OCTAGON SF518 EMU AUD-SMART V0283-26-10-07 version

hi i have a sf518 here fox nds card works fine and even loads the 9 and 10 channels aus wide with a nds fox card and with the crap foxtel box there blocked or locked out 79 and 10 aus wide there in nds on the octagon sf518 etc ,thanks hamguy2 nsw

I have a cable box (SF418) and the (SF218) models but im not having much luck with them at the moment.

have pretty much tried all the software thats out... testing them with a NDS card would like to test the cable model with gamma but dont have one to try...

Reading (or trying to read) the overseas forum I get the idea that only older firmware works for the NDS cards. So it seems to be a case of the newer stuff maybe not what we need in Oz, but start from the older firmware and work from there.
