Mass deleting contacts in Outlook win Mobile 6.1

I use an I-Mate K-Jam and sync Outlook to ACT! on my PC for customer management,
The contacts have gradually become messed up with many duplicates. When I do a PC over-rides handheld it doesn't clean this up.

I would really like to delete every contact in my phone and start again. I cant find a simple way of doing this. I can only delete one page at a time- about 8 contacts, and there are about 2000 involved

Any ideas would be appreciated

Hard reset the i-mate, this will do what you're after, but
you will also lose all the settings.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. I was trying to avoid that
