Default NEC Plasma - Remove Tuning Mask

    Greetings - I have a NEC Plasma TV PXT-42DX2
in tuning for digital TV it only has NSW,Vict,ACT etc as choices
I need to do some testing on settings other than those in particular using 8MHz channels instead of 7MHz channels

anyone got any ideas how to achieve this ?

you can go into a manual tuning menu on these models, and insert your own frequencies.

I thought they only used the state setting for time and date settings, not for tuning. Similar to some of the LG stuff.

You should only need to scan at 7Mhz steps as the 8Mhz ones are for the Euro markets.

no mate 8mhz is the standard in many places - inclusing where I am
    - Aussie is the one who is not using standard channels - PNG, fiji lots of other places use the standard 8mhz
all I am trying to do is breakthrough the aussie software on my TV's which is hard programmed to 7mhz
