You need to enable codec T.38 on your ATA device
VoIP is still very unreliable for faxing.
Hi
I am having issues trying to receive fax but ok to send fax. Some say to set the baud rate to 9.6kbps ie V.29 on the HP but it only have settings V3.4 (33.6kbps) & V.17 (14.4kbps). I saw the HP can be program by depressing * & # at same time to do so?
Thanks

It seem to have work by disable codec T.38 on your ATA device, it now work sending/receiving. Thanks
That'd make sense if your VOIP provider doesn't support the T.38 protocol I guess. Without T.38 it'll still be unreliable usually but it can be helped if you use the G.711 codec instead of G.729 because the high compression rate of G.729 will destroy the fax signal.
Who is your VOIP provider?
do you really USE Voip for FAX.. is it reliable & faster!!!
