Cool they are old i know but...........

HI everyone, i have just come back from a bit of a long break from sats and in my cupboard is an old Austar box, is it any good for anything? no cards or remote, just the box. While i was in the uk some years ago, my old man gave me a Panasonic SKY sat receiver with card model number TU-DSB30, are there any mods for this stuff or should i throw them in the bin? Thanks

I have one of those tu-dsb30 in the shed. Was going to strip stuff out of it if there was nothing that could be done with it.
As for the austar box prob ok. What model number?

Sorry for partial hijack....have you ever found a remote that works for the panasonic. I have 2 old tuds that do Aurora well, but never had remotes to try other things with them. Tried a lot of universal codes, none work though.

I've just picked up a TU-DSB40 and my One-for-all remote (URC-7740) works it Ok. The code is 0847.

How did you get yours to receive Aurora?

I can't seem to change the Symbol Rate (see my post in this forum).

Mine won't change off of Aurora, and was set up to it. Never could get a remote to work on it (none with it), but will look into your numbers and report back.

    Sorry...mines a TUDS10/AU Panasonic x Comstream..not the same as yours.

Threw all my remotes at it, and still no go.

    Defaulted to 12407

Sorry for the mix up, but it had been ages since I played with it.I put my Aurora sub card in, and it fired up a charm as normal.
