its raining in Perth this arvo & now got a bit of spare time..

been playing with DCC trying to figure out how it works etc..
Got it logging into the dream, but it wont allow me to FTP into it..
(I'm assuming its the FTP function that allows the user to send over the "autoroll" file to get it to work)

comes up with FTP component not ready..
Dcc is showing in the config / network tabs this :

Telnet Connected
FTP Connected
Model DM500 detected.

Bootmanager: not found.

BUT on the very bottom its got "Green lights" for FTP/TELNET connected.

anyone tell me what I stuffed this time please..

had similiar problem recently . Shutdown dreambox disconnect power & shutdown your computer as well .
shutdown your router as well .
Go make a coffee .
restart router , restart computer , restart dreambox - open DOS prompt ensure you can ping your dreambox .
Reconnect via FTP and all should be working as normal now.

OK , gave up on FTP from within Dcc & using FlashFXP , same as when i work on Xbox consoles.

So i can now FTP to the DM500.. now looking into the autoroll.key file details.

Can anyone confirm this is correct format & spacings between characters ??

I now have Cccam 2.0.0 just have to work the file out.

When using DCC,Dont forget to right click on the softcam Key files and chmod or change the file attributes to 755.
Also the last 2 numbers of the provider keys are changed to 00 eg.= { 12 34 56 } is { 12 34 00 }

do we use {} & spaces between 12 34 00 etc

After this will be the details about H.264 on a dreambox..

I read some posts about H.264 in the lat week , but its a very big BLURrrrr still & dont seem to be able to find the threads again

At the end of the day you can use any FTP program. Most of the time I use a FTP plugging for Firefox for transfering files to my dreambox.

On the LHS of DCC there are 2 FTP buttons/options. One is under the configuration Tab so don't get confused with this one. You need to use the FTP button that's between the telnet and settings buttons.
You have to make sure under the configuration tab you set your network details (ip addresses of your PC and Dreambox) and the username and password of you dreambox (usually root and dreambox)

As for H264 that's high def mpeg4 and the DM500 is only an mpeg2 decoder. But you could watch a HD channel with it using VLC on your pc if you stream to it!

try CCcam 1.71, mine is working great for the last few years and still doing so when we were there over the weekend, must take a DM800 next time for all the new HD channels on C1, you lucky buggers we only have a handful up here.

Cccam 2.0.0 should have no issues updating pk's.
Im not sure even if the irdeto file is even relevant?

OK.. the next step to reading all day & connecting is underway,and far from anywhere...
but there doesn't seem to be info on how to connect a Dream to GWM running on a PC...

Is this possible ??

want to get details from GWM for the dream to use etc.
