    Cool

Definitly the orange coloured one up near the brick balcony. It is up far too high. It should be down near the other orange ones. The orange-wave prpogation is not effective at that height.

    Holy shit, that's awesome.
Is that flying fox chairs at bottom right( looks like something from the lethal weapon at movieworld)? Maybe for the techs to sit on as I think you would be there for a few weeks trying to find what you need up there.

You will need to post a schematic before we can help.

I can remember sitting in the very flash boardroom of a Taiwanese electronics firm having had a tour of their factory that was state of the art super clean etc and looking out the window to see something much like the photo. A mixture of power and telephone cable tied off a various points to stop it dropping to the ground. That was in the 1990’s its improved since.

Actually they did. But they were mobiles techs.
That isn't Thai power wiring, it's Indian. Though some Thai phone cabling is a bit like that.
You can also tell it's India from the colonial english building in the picture.

I believe the only person allowed to use HF in Thailand is the King.
Civilians are allowed to use 2m but you are not allowed to carry a handheld in public or wear it attached to your belt.
The only people who can wear handhelds on their side are Police and Govt officials.

Well, that's how it used to be maybe 10 years ago - it's possibly changed now.

Well it is does not seem to be Filipino.
I think I can barely see a transformer underneath all that professional wiring.

In the Philipinnes they nick the transformers (and water meters) and sell them back to the utility companies.

You are all being very racist sayings it’s some Asian country.

It is probably Sydney’s South Western Suburbs. All the original wiring got nicked and sent to Lebanon for scrap value.

Yep plus the Hercules Cycle Shop and the UP = Uttar Pradesh - Probably Lucknow or Kanpur.

I met a techo from Parsons Turbines (UK) who was in India. He stated that the all the electricity from the massive power station that he just commissioned was already consumed...... About 20% loss through setups like the photo, another 20+ percent stolen and the remainder only made up for the shortfall in demand.

No, these aren't true. I worked a Thai station during JOTA. I've seen them using FRS style hand helds in places. But I don't see hams walking the streets of Australia let alone most other places around the world I've been to.

    Racist ? Not at all.
The quote that I made was based on the building styles and the possible location based on that. There isn't a person in the picture so I cannot base my conclusion on race.

I have not see that style of wiring anywhere in Australia, I have however seen it in a few different countries in South East Asia and India.
So based on my observations I can consider it a supportive statement or at least a partial elimination based on absence of any particular style of writing other than English.

Saying something like; "You bwoody white wacist!" in itself might be considered to be a racist statement. But even then I can't define one particular race because they can't pronounce English phonomes R or L.
    Who's the victim here ?
