    Default Adding MAPS to iGO8

First off I apologize if this is answered someplace else but couldn't find it. So Here goes.

I have a mio moov 200. I have installed miopocket. no problem so far.
I have iGO8 installed and functioning. no problem although a real pain to accomplish.

I want to add the USA and Canada maps I have but can not seem to make it work. These maps are installed and functioning:
    Basemap8_2007_080117.fbl
    EastEUMAJOR_2008.01_080229.fbl
    UnitedKingdom8_2008.07_080925.fbl
    WestEUMAJOR_2008.01_080229.fbl

I have these files in the license folder
    device.nng
    GENERIC_iGO*_WorldWide@801Product.lic

I want to add these maps:
Canada8_2007.10_080311.fbl & all the USA states
    USA_StateName_2007.10_080311.fbl

I also have this license file iGO2008.lic

These USA & Canada maps came from an original install setup ie.2577 and iGO8 folders.

The install I am using came from another source because I could not make the install package work on my mio.

Can I install these maps? If so How? If I just place them in the map folder they don't work. iGO8 reports that it can not plot my location on the map because the maps are inaccessible.

    HELP PLEASE

I am in the USA and I can use the MIO/NAVMAN software that came on my GPS but MIO has made it impossible for me to get a CANADA map and I will be traveling there soon. iGO8 is much better but I cant seem to get the maps to work with it.

    Question Answer my own question

Well I found the answer. Version incompatibility I found the right maps on PPCWarez, so All is well and I can travel in the USA and Canada without getting lost.

    So my next question.... Lolz

Can iGO8 read speak road names? It appears not to but that seems like such an easy feature, and probably the only feature of the built in Mio/navman software I like, that I suspect it can and I just haven't figured out how to make it do so.

So if it can someone tell me how to make it do so. And if it can't someone tell me that too.

Well I answered my own question again. iGO does speak road names but you must select TTS voices. My original install didnt have any TTS so it didnt but Now it does.... Yea

No new problems to speak of time to move on to Tom Tom

Just a heads up with Tom Tom & MioPocket...

I had to remove from the SD card...
\MioAutorun\Windows\Keyboard\Softkb.dll as it stopped both Tom Tom & explorer.exe from running.

    Cheers
