Relook 400-S

Hi Guys

I have a new, virgin 400s that I want to work with CCcam and its dual tuners.
Does anyone have one of these and can recommend which image to use?

The search info has only confused me.

I think the only image that allows you to use both tuners is Highland.

I use FantacyTeam,,,, 2.13.6-r2 Neumo edition.... both tuners work fine... time shifting works the way it should, as good as the old Toppy....

Ok have Neumo 2.13.6 installed ok, all C1 scanned ok.

Stumbling on CCcam installation atm.

To start cccam press menu and 2.. edit your config file of course..
to check emu's,, menu then arrow left then plugins then fantacy panel to tell you about the emu's , or emu install to see what is installed.. cccam come pre loaded..

Thanks, I overlooked the DHCP setting.....doh!

Downloaded CCcam 2.0.0 from their server, edited the config and its all go with pics.....woo hoo.

Playing some more now

Good to hear... don't forget to enable time shifting in HDD Setting.. set it to 120 minutes... That is assuming you have a hard disk fitted... If you don't, then not much point having the relook..LOL.

OK thanks for mentioning that, no HDD atm - as I mentioned, it's still a virgin..lol

What type/size of HDD are you using in yours?

I have a had a Relook 400S since they first became available in Australia. I suppose that would be at least three years ago now.

I installed a 250GB, WD2500JB Caviar hdd in the first week and it continues to work flawlessly.

You don't need a large hd. unless you are going to record a lot. I have a 60gig.. that will hold over 20 hours, I don't keep recordings on the hard disk for long.. If you download John Doe's Pceditor from denktenk forum and open the web interface you can select the recording to transfer to your pc, It converts the file to MPG on the fly.. I use mine mainly for time shifting, it will buffer 2 hours of recoding. Phone rings or visitors, just hit pause, then resume when ready...
.....THE ONLY SATELLITE PVR THAT WORKS FAULTLESSLY....

Actually I am pulling my hair out with this box, I spoke too soon earlier.

I spent ages setting it up, lnb config, satellite C1, deleting channels etc.

I downloaded and installed CCcam, edited the config and made it a client to my CCcam server.

I get fo*tel pictures that last for a short time then freeze. Change channel, immediate pictures then freeze.

I deleted CCcam 2.0 that loads off the Neumo server and manually installed CCcam 2.09 with no difference.

I rebooted the box to see if that would make a difference ........It did, it came up and asked me which language I wanted to use.......all my programming was gone.

Faark, so I went through the mind numbing procedure again and after the channels loaded off C1, I rebooted the box and it rebooted asking which language again......faaark.

I spent yesterday morning downloading anything suitable for the 400s and there isn't much that supports twin tuners, which is why I got it.

I installed about 6 different images with no success, most stalled on the boot screen and 2 of them gave the PANIC display which made me sneer and grip my fists....like I do when the kava is weak.....

At the end of the day I tried the first image again (Neumo 2.13.6) programmed it again and get pics for a short time, same-same.
Then it was kava time, so I switched it off and went and had a grump to my mates at the nakamal - they didn't know what I was on about ...lol.

Anyway, this morning I switched it on, getting ready to sneer, but the bloody thing booted with all my info intact.

Picture still freezes, as in locks up after 15 seconds.

I am going to load CCcam 1.7.1 today to see if that solves it.

Not looking good, it may end up on the crap receiver shelf next to the Blacktagon 918,518, dreamax 470 and the wavelengths.

I have 2 mutant 200s receivers which are sweethearts like the DB500's.

CCcam 1.7.1 makes no difference, still freezes with the CCcam server but lasts for about a minute on the NewCs server before freezing.

Not sure about your freezing problem Kavakid but I found sometimes with flashing new firmware to this box, you're better off disconnecting your harddrive and reconnecting later to avoid the Panic message.

Maybe your server has to many clients,somebody is using the same user client or you didnt turn of the cccam in other boxes.....there a many reasons why you can get pixalations.....and yes ,try not to download from the net at the same time

Ok it's all good now, a helpful PM from Joey suggested I was missing a line in my CCcam config that is peculiar to relook.

I just added "DVB API: 2" at the end of the config. Solid pics.
You can read about this feature in the CCCam config file.
