    Question Active Directory?

Is it possible to setup a Dreambox in Windows 2003 Active Directory with Linux-PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules for Linux)?

I think you would need to recompile the image to get it in there. A very interesting question though. Maybe someone else has read something on another site about some team or person doing some work towards this goal.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

It is my understanding you would only need to do this for the 500 & 500+ as the 600, 7000 (not sure about this one though as have not tried it on AD), 7020 & 7025+ by default should already be there in your AD and pam not required.

Can you explain what your trying to say here jonc because I cannot work out what your getting at with your comment?

I am not aware of any images coming with the nss or nscd services installed which will be required for them to hook into and authenticate via AD or even auth via NSS if the AD server was running services for unix.
