ok im sorry about the poll
but point is, if you wanna be a web host and offer 24\7 support as it says on his site
well if you go away or watever,this should be organized
mdwebhosting being down doesnt mean anything bcoz i have several domains with them, and all other hosts are fine.
i dont get enough business as is, 1,2 days down i can take, i been down for 10+,ive allready moved host, sorry jimmy, but you should think of these things if you want to be a business man.

I dont disagree Phill , I would just prefer that we find out exactly what is going on before people pay out on him.

I gave mikephotog a lead as I had some dealings with him ( James ) 1-2 years ago and it sounds like mike has found the correct phone number ( there was only 4 options for the town ).

If this is the case as mike as suggested then I would expect people would be well within their rights to be annoyed with him over this and probably should shift their sites elsewhere if they are business related or of an important nature.

urban , I would be signing up with toor or something similar quicksmart. You cant afford to have a business site suffer that much downtime.

i was going to change up to toors a couple of months ago but i came accross a hurdle with my domain name. have a bit of spare time tomorrow so ill probably look into it.

somewhere back up a few post somwone mentioned mdwebhosting problems.
just found a domain of mine
hosted with jim that works. my normal one hosted with another now still doesnt work as mdwebhosting is having problems. and domain for that is with them

but nelson-bay.net was a addon domain to nbc.net that was a jimmy host?
maybe it changed when i swapped who knows
it works
cleaned cache,cookies the lot lol
so i spoke to sum indian dude that swears his in melbourne from mdhosting
found 5 domains and im pretty sure there all with toor now.

Ohh no, surely not mdhosting.........have they cleared out the virus they had there yet?

I have a hosting plan with them and it's useless, it keeps getting reinfected
with a virus they cant (Or wont) remove.
(It keeps infecting all their customers websites, its due to an unpatched vunerability in their php server I believe.)

Checkout their own forums, you'll see a heap of deleted posts, where unhappy customers have gotten up em, so they delete the posts and ban their customers! (It happened to me / us!)

We have moved our domain from them (Not without a bit of effort though, mdhosting locks your domain name to their servers) to toor's business, it's certainly improved things out of sight.

Lot's of people have been complaining about mdhosting, steer clear of them guy's, your just asking for a whole world of hurt for your web based business.

can't expect much from a 2bit fly by night webhost ,a kid making some extra pocket money , mum and dad giving their son praise saying that they are going to be the next donald trump , he's just a reseller selling webspace that he/she has no control of ,

overselling an already oversold server space , resources already stretched to the limits

for $2.50 you can't expect much , it's only good for photo albums of the family , if you are wanting to run a business off that space your dreaming , if you want to find another 2bit company just look at webhostingtalk.com a heap of flyby nighters cutting each others throats at make that "great " deal

you get what you pay for , if quality service is what your after then you should cough up the bucks , go with a reputable company that has a business front

if you want a cheap host , while it still does have its problem ( what webhost doesn't) check out dreamhost (use the coupon of massivesavings for some good discounts)

or as mentioned above check out webhostingtalk.com and .com.au

Iam extremely sorry for any problems you may of got with your websites over the last 2 weeks. I have been away on a business trip for two weeks and just got home today, where i was there was no reception and internet so i was unable to reply to your requests. I was unaware of the problems and iam now investigating what happened.

We are not overselling/providing cheap webhosting that has bad uptime, this was just a rare occasion. And no im not dead (which is a good thing) , or disappeared im not a 16/17 y.o. either or a fly-by nighter.
