Mi M8,
Use the fix below.
You need to load in the firmware you want, then load in the FIX file after.
You need to do it via computer with a cable.

Don't tell me that I just ordered one from those guys in WA
So did I !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi
I kill my 4658x every now and then testing firmware. It always comes back using the following
1. A full null modem cable. Not a 2-3 3-2 and a few links.
2. Connect the box to computer using cable.
3. Turn stong box off
4. Run SRTLoader.exe on PC
5. Browse and find firmware to load
6. press connect
7. Turn STU on
8. Make a coffee while it is updating. It takes about 2-3 mins
Box will reboot and etc if the firmware is correct.
I am currently running SRT4658X_137p_20080107 without any problems
It should work. Let me know if you need a working firmware.
If the above does not work let me know. I have done this on 4653x and 4658x boxes
Cheers
If you go back in firmware, load the old firmware...you will get four flashing dots when it reboots. Then send the "fix" file. This will allow it to go back...should re-boot normally after this.
Hey Guys,
Is there a dick-head of the month award at Austech?
Please advise where I can pick up my prize!
Guess how I screwed up?
In my haste to update and 2 screaming kids buzzing around,
I didn't use the loader first. Doh!!!!!!
You should still be able to recover it but you will have to use a null modem cable as the USB thumb drive method wont help if it's all stuffed up and just 4 green lights flashing.
Thanks for all the help guys. Mate of mine has cable (and a brain) , so will have a crack at it on Saturday and post how I go.
Regards,
seeu
If you are going to use a lappy as that is easy, make sure you have the RS232 serial port on the lappy as one of those USB to serial converters can cause even more head aches.
Yes they seem to be ok I have been back a few times since then.
