    Default The Great Car Debate

I want to know what people think about their favourite cars

for example, I have a mate who drives a Honda Integra Type R, he won't drive it into dodgy area's as he thinks it's so rare it's almost guaranteed to get stolen, it's yellow and he thinks it's the most exotic car on the road because of it! he has compared it to some amazing cars before not once taking a moment to actually listen to himself.

now while the Integra Type R's are an amazing car, very fast, very light, handles extremely well, and in my opinion underrated as a sports car, their still no Ferrari or BMW M3.

but I to suffer the same problem, I drive a 1991 Corolla GTi, I think it's the best bang for your buck fun car in Australia today, it cost me $3200, in stock form it keeps up with an Alloytech Commodore until about 130kph, I'm yet to meet someone who can keep up with me through the twisty stuff! (it does have suspension mods) I love it! you couldn't buy a better car for $3200!!!

but I have a lot of mates that disagree, one of which drives a 253 VH Commodore Wagon, (payed $3800 for it) we have the most insane arguments about our cars, he reckons his car is the bees knees, but it's not as quick as mine, it can't reach the top speed of mine, it doesn't handle anywhere near as good as mine, it's more expensive to run than mine, parts are more expensive than mine, it (compared to mine) is unreliable, I just don't see anything good about it!

so bring on the debate, what do you drive or would like to drive and how would you rate it compared to a practical daily driven car you can have fun with

I have a 1987 Tarago! My runaround for now. I like it. It has new running gear, so rides well, it is sooo comfortable. You can fold down the back seats to make a bed! I rate it 4/10 as a car, but it's my car, and I love it.

My favourite car to drive at the moment is at a tie between two. Our good friends' Volvo, with a Peugeot 6 under the bonnet, and mums car .

The Volvo is registered as a heritage vehicle, or something like that. She sticks to the road well, despite the body roll, and absolutely loves it when you put your foot down! She sort of speaks to you and says "Give me more!!" .

Mums car, is a '99/'00 (I think) model Toyota Camry Vienta Grande (mouthfull). It has a 3 litre V6. I have found that when it was bought, it had been tinkered with from factory standard. It has such a tight and rigid chassis, is responsive, hardish suspension and I think would make a great rally car if it was just a bit lighter. Man, it does go hard!!

I am looking at buying a Corolla or Impreza soon, which I may tinker with. If this thread is still going, I'll let you all know...

    Dream car, a Porsche carrera.

My fav car would have to be the Brock Blue Meanie VK.

Unlimited funds, it would be a Porsche GT3

I ended up running into a illegal street meet last night...um...by accident, wrong turn, you know.

Saw a new Lamborghini Murcielago (V12, 471 kw) take on the latest BMW M3 coupe (V8 309 Kw) and a GTR that looked very similar to mine.

    GTR whipped them good.

I was surprised to see the M3 keep up to the Lambo, Lambo sound (poping between gears) was orgasmic. BMW was a car length behind the Lambo, GTR was gone into the distance.

A lot of money, yes, quick, yes, worth it, no.

Forgot to mention i saw a VL turbo kick butts too.

Its cheaper to build it than buy it. LOL

You know about the hidden cops around the "good bits".

They hide camode in the bush's and radio up ahead.

I find those roads more stimulating in the dark early hours of the morning...much safer.

Oh missed what the thread was all about.

    Lambo-9

    M3-9

    GTR-9

    Bugatti-9

    Zonda F roadster-10.

I prefer this one for understanding what they are about. Sounds so much better than a Lambo in anger.

    Coupe 400,000+ pounds, convertable 800,000+pounds.

Can some one pass me the tissues please.

I went for ride in one a customer owned when I was working in Doncaster, it was pretty fun, a real head turner, but IMHO money could be better spent.

While we are pissing into the wind....

One of these will do me just fine.

Love the smart short shift through Hammer head to stabilize the car over the bump and get the torque down under control.

Who needs porn....now where did i leave the tissue box?
