yeah that seems about average, with no monitoring / lock in contracts
I'm sure you can find cheaper, but you will be locked into a contract hehe

The parts & cable will cost more than that. Tell him to pm me & I'll buy 100 off him over the next 6 months ( I'll want a discount for quantity though )

With a 10 year contract to cover the installation loss?
that's not even cost price for the gear my friend, be cautious!

    There's an Old saying,

" you get what you pay for !!!!"

BTW, $ 1500 is a rip off- and $325 is not enough.
$ 1000-$1200 is all it should cost. Its 2-4hrs work on a standard residence.

    Typical SSG install,
throw panel in roof(no screws to hold to truss's or something solid, stick detectors on with silicone, double side tape everything, use 7/020 cable, twitch wires together, install pirs facing droughts / windows etc, no tampers, panel tamper 24/7 audible, 10 min siren timer.
    The list is large.

What does SSG stand for security tech? To me it sounds like you are describing an ADT install from the dealer days.

Almost, Sig na ture security, I spread their name so it wouldn't give them any free advertising...

I can assure you anyone who ever worked for them will admit the same.

well I had my alarm installed.
Alarm Panel secured in a room of the house. He put capacitors or diodes on the sensors for tamper i believe. Tamper switch on the box, sensors and all sirens. quad shield cabling. Very neat job. Happy with his service

    Thanks for the feedback guys

That doesn't sound like security cable. Did you get the installer code for later use ?

Its not, quad shield is a coax used for TV/ Foxtel etc.

I think he is referring to 4-core cable, and his reference to capacitors/diodes, he means resistors.
