    Default wireless networking help needed

    Hi All,

I am chasing a full step by step tutorial to install a wireless networking system on two PC's, both running W2K-SP4, one is a desktop, the other is a laptop.

Desktop has a Dlink DWA510 PCI installed (shared files enabled)
Laptop has a Dlink DWA610 PCMCIA installed

I have done hardwired lans in the past with no problem, this is my first time at setting up a wireless system and i am having a spot of difficulty at getting this to work.

Desktop is to act as a file server for a dental customer, unit operates without keyboard, mouse and monitor allowing five other PC's access this unit that are hardwired to it - the wireless system is to access this server from the laptop (via remote access) to install additional programs and or service the unit if in the event of failure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    cheers
    hannible.
