anyone?
Just out of curiosity, it would be interesting to know how much some of you guys actually charge for the followings, and how much you are willing to go down to.
Reformatting and installing of OS.
Fault diagnosis.
Data Backup.
Software installation.
Internet setup at home.
Virus scan and removal.
and what ever else you would like to add.

anyone?
I worked in a private school, so all that AND SO MUCH more was covered in my salary.... even did big dollar repairs on boards/adapters/screens and charged only $25 which went to the end of year christmas party. are you thinking of setting up a bussiness or just comparing prices.
I think a flat rate per hour is the norm. although I am not sure anymore
If you feed ducks at a pond, chances are your bound to feed a goose or two without even knowing it.
Reformatting and installing of OS.local shop charges $70
Reformat, create partitions, install drivers..............$70.
I do it for a case of beer
Case of beer works for me too.
My fridge is always stocked, and yes if you are down my way you can drop in for one.
What happens if I press alt + F4?
I am just comparing prices, to see how every technician look at it in his own way, I just want to get an idea and see if I am ripping anyone off, LOL or are my prices fair compared to others.
Keep it coming guys, but I am definitely not doing it for a case of beer.

As you say, the more tasks the progressively cheaper each addon job gets.
Best4less would be able to give some ideas here,

Virus scan and removal= $50-$80 includes 12 month Norton internet security 2009 <--- Norton piss that off and then not ripping them off ... use AVast or AVG ... Norton is bloatware that capable finding nothing ..
Trust thyself only, and another shall not betray thee.

Mate I have tried AVG, it gave me problems on some pcs, I find the new 2009 norton to be heaps better than older versions, plus that's what most of the customers request anyway.
gotta agree with woodstock.....
Norton products are hopeless,
Try karparsky u can get it for even cheaper than norton and its alot bettr product.
No point getting out of bed for less than $100/hr
Reality is an invention of my imagination.

how do you response to that?
will you charge them money ?
or give them a second chance?
If they use kaspersky this will rarely happen.
What happens if I press alt + F4?
