Default D2Pro For Wii D2C Consoles Is Here!

    Hey Guy's,

The D2Pro team just shipped us 50pcs pre-release samples of the new for Wii. They are up on the site now and are shipping as of Monday, they have started mass production and full stocks should be available around the end of Feb. Here is the chance to try out their latest chip before release to see what you think.

From any of you that order one, can you please email us your report on how you think this new D2Pro installs and functions?

    Have a good weekend all.

Chippy, sure your're not thinking of D2Cpro? as d2pro has low wire count, thats why Dave's getting them.

Hehe, I counted 20 including the power and ground, then looked at the install diagram, and 19 it is. Is that a trick photo mate?

I think the 15 wire count they refer to is the "required" wires only. The extras are for the region free conponent and are optional.

    D2pro is 15 wire normal
+4 wires more if you want region free....like argon

Yes, i installed that personally. Wires on the IC are nice an clean - the routing of the wires are mega messy. I need a new set of wire cutters for kynar wire.
    You got any suggestions Mike?

I was looking at these, i heard they are the goods -

But they are out of stock

they don't go small enough mate as have tried years ago!

I use 'snap on' ones, pricey, but very good.

whilst less labour(time only NOT skill) involved, it is still high level skills required to install these little fellas.

Please also note that whilst the cost to install may be slightly cheaper, any reduction in installation/supply is quickly swallowed up by the high cost of these new chips.

Hope this helps explain the cost to do these. I'm sure all the modders that have done these will agree with me on these few facts.

I've installed D2Ckey, D2CPro, Argon, D2Pro and really consider them all to equally demanding on concentration as I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to modding...like the old saying goes "Mod with passion"! Anyone thats seen my installs will know this

If the chips themselves drop in price dramatically then there might be a small price drop overall, but I wouldnt charge any less at the moment for one of these installs just because there is a couple less wires to put on.

bit late to post , but just read it , I know , just knew it before you did mate lol
they work pretty damn well too .
and as cwispy and mick said , less wire count does not mean cheaper prices . there are lot of people doing modding in this country , but the number of people that do it competently would only be at best 10% of all modders . Fortunatly for us , most of them are found here on Austech

    Indeed
has an argument over a customer today as this was his attitude

Offcourse customers want to get the best price.

Have you heard of the term "Shop Around". Coles sells A for 3 dollars, Wollies sells B for 2.80, I buy from Wollies.
People don't understand that installation is not a product, it is a service, and in the case of D2C modchips - it is more of an art.

    G'day Ryan,
in cases like these mate, its not really worth the trouble arguing the point, this person obviously is ruled by the 'mighty' dollar.

you get what you pay for!!! Let those ones go to the 15Yo freckly kid down the road with NO qualifications or experience in doing such tasks.
