I have heard of some people getting most of the C-band channels on a 2.4 mesh but more comfortably on a 3m.
Hi all.
just a basic question for MCSA.
What would be the smallest dish that would be needed to get MCSA in Perth??
looking for the local guys to answer this one as they can say exactly what they have atm or tried in the past..
I know we are on the edge of the footprint and lyngsat says 2.5mtr and larger..
Anyone with a C band solid in Perth ??
What sizes etc please..

....or 2.4m solid
Here's two reports for the price of one. 2.4 mesh in Willagee with no obstructions gave me a perfect picture every day. Not one pixellation.
Moved into Bull Creek and just got the 2.4 up last week (it came with me) and gets some minor pixellation on some days on one or two channels. But I do have a tree that will get a trim soon and I am confident this will get rid of my pixellation.
In a clear elevated position I would buy a 2.4 mesh with all confidence.
2.4 mesh ok on dreambox 7020 plus octagon jandakot area
Don't forget to add a good quality C band LNBF to whatever dish you choose.
I've had good reception with a Strong branded lnb with a 15K rating on a 2.3 metre mesh.
Visit Sciteq in Wangara for a nice good quality LNB .
Norsat in Welshpool have the ducks guts in C band LNBs .
3m mesh in Northam with a standard run of the mill 15k LNB zinwell.
No problems with pics around 85% signal and 93% quality.
With a 36" heavy duty actuator, If you get bored with MCSA swing it round to T18 for some spice

LOL irdeto2engineer you don't miss a trick when it comes to you showing us your server
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
or other countries bandwidth, rub it in m8!

It's not a server per se. It's a dedicated private streaming system that clients use as they wish. SO each client has their own receiver and place shifting device. 2.5mb uploads on fiber from my side. But the HAVA has a max remote speed of 1mb on client side. But you can slow it down by manually adjusting the stream settings. So you can run it at 500kpbs.
I have people in Australia paying for it.
Would never rub it in. I run my own private ISP so I can do as I please with bandwidth. My clients in Russia are paying US$70 for a 1mb download and US$140 for 2mb downloads over there. Australia is catching up with bandwidth, but due to the physical size and everything being spread out costs are higher.
But capping as in Australia is just a gimmick to scam you for more money. Whats the point of giving you a 25mb upload if you don't have any applications that need that sort of speed.
Yep exactly. I have many clients not allowed large dishes on their apartment buildings. With this syetm I can have multple packages like Telkomvision, Truevisions, DSTV, FTA stuff and whatever other satellites I like to have in the system.
It's only money. Soon you gys will have good cheap ADSL and you can get stuff you have problems getting now.
But the point of having large dishes is to annoy the neighbours, piss off the local council, and improve your property prices.
We would all like our homes to be looking like this.....
