No Picture On 360
guys, i brought a 360 from the net and it works but no picture only sound?
The guy told me the picture is gone and theres sound so i did buy it faulty.
would this be a easy fix or do i need to send it to MS?

just sent mine back to microsoft for the same problem.
from what i have read online,it seems to be the solder joints that connect the av terminal to the motherboard that are stuffing up.
some people have got the picture back by using the towel method , but it's probably safer just to send it to microsoft if it's still under warranty.

leave it on until it does mate, keep an eye on it though so it doesn't cause a fire!
its on now, its been 60min
a high demand graphical game will also do the trick.
The most common one I hear about, when it gives 3RLOD is gears of war, dunno if just coincidence??

Just TELL microsoft it sometimes gets the 3RL and sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes the screen is goes blank then they will most probably fix it for free. Intermittent is a very handy word when it comes to dodgy solder balls...lol
its been 2 hours now and no 3 lights yet hehehe
if it doesnt happen tonight im going to do again tomorrow
night and wrap towels around it.

3 and a half hours and still no 3 red rings? Looks like im going to have to do the old rap me up with the towel trick tomorrow nite

You will get more joy if you wrap the towel around your head and poke it in a bucket with smelling salts.

as NSDN said. Ring Microsoft and say intermittent fault. it would cost them more to find the fault instead of repairing it. I am sure they wont bench test a console for hours upon hours to see if it does rrod.

I unplugged the power cable and plugged it back it and now its working?
I'm getting the picture now? I tried getting the 3 red lights but instead i got only 2?
Would this last i should i try and send it to M$?

Send it into MS for warranty repair of intermittent red flashing lights. You get a new mobo and new drive. Did you read my other thread ?
