    Default VOIP Data allowance usage

Just wandering how much of your monthly broadband data allowance does voip consume.

eg, how many MB is used in 1 minute of voip in download and/or upload?

depends on alot of things mate

    ive currently done
    eth0 2.00 GB 1.90 GB 0/0

    for
    System uptime: 3 weeks, 13 hours, 59 minutes, 17 seconds Last reload: 1 week, 4 days, 23 hours, 54 minutes, 34 seconds

Depends on the codec you use, if you look up VOIP codecs pick one that suits your bandwith requirement.

My results are with a G729 codec.

    As per Urban said.

Plus a lot of ATA devices re register you every 240 seconds so that is also data.
