Integrated GPS for WM Statesman

Hi there - When I purchased my WM Statesman back in 2007 there was an option to have an integrated GPS however of course it was a very expensive item.

I am re looking at this option now.

Apart from heading back to Holden or getting a Garmin etc (which I already have) are there any smart shortcuts I can use to get this working?

I know nothing of the Holden system but I would assume there would be a blue tooth option on your Statesman's control area thingo?

stock GPS systems on factory released cars seem to be a waste of time, you're better off using the Garmin, as Holden will charge you drug money to get it set up, and then you only have a mediocre GPS system that comes with the luxury of being somehow tied to your cars controls.

I would rather have a great GPS (Garmin) that sits on my window

Hi Buddy - Totally agree that is why I did not order the thing when I bought the car.

I would love to know what is involved to set it up - Extra module,.. programming of computer or what?

Like lots of things out there someone must have an idea what is involved.
If it is possible could I turn it on - add the module myself??

I had a hunt around about it when you first posted.

I noted a member of another forum saying that it was cheaper to buy when ordering the car than to buy it later and add on.

At that point i gave up on the matter.
