Default PS3 Won't Power Up - Help Needed

    Hey guys.

I did a search but couldn't find an answer to my problem and was hoping someone could offer me some advice?

I just went to turn on my PS3 and it won't power up full stop. No lights or anything. It is one of the original machines and so is out of warranty. It has had maybe 20 hours use at the most as I only bought Warhawk.

Is there a fix for this or do I have to send it back to Sony and spend more big bucks?

This tells you how to pull it apart

and this is what you buy when you find one in Australia LOL

Or you check to see if it is just the fuse 1st(you might get lucky) and not all the transistors

Sorry but it looks that way spose the only other thing you could try is your power cable from the power point maybe swap it to a power point that is working or test the cable on something else? that sucks i have one of the originals also 60Gb havent had not one drama since i brought it Good Luck.

Thanks guys. I might have to order the power supply through ebay.

I have tried different power points but had no joy. I will try a different cable, are they just standard computer cables?
