PS2 39002 modding

Hi Guys

what it's worth these days to mod the above PS2 (I'm in Melbourne SE burbs) ?

I had a quick look at some chips they seem cheap but thers like 20 wires !!

I was also thinkg of trying a soft mod Free McBoot, but that looked a little difficult (my 2 seconds of looking) to do.

The 39002(V7) is a fairly simple & quick PS2 to do a chip install - easy points to solder to. At a guess if I did not do it myself I would be willing to pay $75 pluss chip. Some people charge shit loads more but a V7 is a simple job compared to say a V3

price really does depend on a a couple of things .
Location , depending on where you are you may pay a premium .
business , if you choose a legit business expect to pay more , but then also know that you are covered by any fair trade laws should a dispute arise .
reputation , pay peanuts get monkeys

i have seen costs of say a V7 range from $70 to $120 , depending on where you are in Australia and who does it .
