    Default New rules system installed

Our current rules are available to view via the " Site Rules " link on the upper toolbar. The infraction system will also be operating from later tonight.

If you break any of our rules , Moderators have the option of resetting your rule staus which will mean that you cannot post or send PM's until you agree to the sites rules.

This system should stop any excuses like I didnt know the rules etc.

    Thanks

Did I break a site rule? I had to click on 'I agree' to the site rules before I could post.

Must admit, it made me stop for a moment and think about what i may have posted, having seen the site rules appear from nowhere.
I thought i was getting a warning before i stepped over the line.

No , nothing that serious global , its just that in the rush to get back online we havent had any visible rules. Now we have , I had the option of making everyone read them , so I did

Just on the guidelines, I think further clarity is needed regarding the sites definition of "offensive". I mean some people are offended by trivial things, others are not offended by anything. Just a simple "do not post this" type of thing would make it better. For example, is my avatar considered offensive? some non-english speaking people make take offense to it but none of my mates would?

That would have to be determined by Moderators on an individual case basis......it's too wide a topic to clarify as each case is different. Common sense usually prevails , though some people always have to try pushing it that one bit too far.

It is 95% the same rules we have always had.......we just forced the 70% of members who havent ever read them to have a look
