Default Reading card with Jaycar MkII and Gamma card v3.5

Hi guys, Im trying to read the EMK on my whitey using Gamma Card v3.5. My programmer Im using is a Jaycar MKII. When I insert my card and run the program the only button available is the reset button. I'm using a serial cable from an old modem. Could this be the problem?

select com port hit reset and it will read your card but it wont read the emk as that needs to be logged then the emk sent to the card with 3.5.

read a bit more and use the search button

    G'Day,
It needs to be a straight through connected RS 232 all pins connected.
Do not use a Null Modem cable with cross over connection.
Anyway, I doubt whether you will be able to read the EMK on your whitie.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid "......

actually it's the HSN I'm trying to read. I checked the serial cable and there is continuity between each of the 9 pins.

This is the screen I'm facing with.

Should light up as soon as you enter a string in the box

no, still greyed out. Does it have to be a certain amount of characters or should it light up as soon as anything is entered into the string?

Put card in reader then press RESET then you click on LOAD GAM and load gamma file the SEND TO CARD button will light up.
The other two SEND TO CARD buttons down the bottom light up after reset.

the problem is that when I click on RESET I get a run time error then it shuts down. Apparently this is a bug when using Jaycar MKII programmer. Anyone have a newer version? PM please?

Yes not having ocx files would cause the problem.
    Glad I could help.
