    Default do you rate TPG?

i may be on the move & am considering swapping ISP's.
I'm on iiNet and usually pay close to $90 p/m. That includes my internet my VOIp & all connection charges(line rental as well) telstra get nothing directly from me.
I get 10gig + 10 gig. speed is useless as i am currently on the outer edge of the reach of my exchange.

So how does this compare with TPG? any subscribers out there that can compare their wares & bill for me?

yes i have had a look at the plans and i'm impressed with what it is on the surface, but i will check how many minutes my local calls are each month. So does anyone with them get any extras on their bill at the end of the month? What do they charge for line rental, silent number, interconnect fees etc.
I might pay $59.99 p/m with TPG but it isn't a saving when i have to add on all the extras.
Even if you get VoIP you still have line rental ( unless you get naked Voip)
    that's what i'm getting at.
But the more downloads p/m is impressive.

I've been setting up TPG internet for people for years now & found that the service has always been reliable & quick. It's good value even if their call centre people are slow & hard to understand at times.

TPG are my service provider and they have been good so far. No complaints from me (expcept that I can't get ADSL2+, but that's an infrastructure issue, not TPG's).

Ask them to put you through to some one from Soul, since the merge Soul tech support are 1000x better than TPG.

Yep going TPG is not going to get you quicker connection. The 2 or 3 years I had with TPG was OK but the tech support was non existent - most times you could not get through and when you did the engrish spoken was not too good . Hopefully you know what you are doing in terms of tech things.

Yes that's right the tech support is useless but i notice i know more then all the tech's on other ISP's as well. There just phone monkeys to keep the customer's happy, and to blame your equipment or phone lines.

TPG does the job for me

i have dug a bit deeper, TPG do not do my phone, so i have to have a telstra line as well.
So there is $20 extra, and i just love paying money to telstra.

You guys are spot on about how good England these people speach. How many time someone in the Pilipines doesn't understand my questions and cuts me off.

it looks like i might be able to save $30 a month, but will it be worth it in the long run?

    Hi mate,
I just recently went down the path of changing my ISP. I narrowed it down to either InterNode or TPG. There wasn't much seperating the two and in the end I chose InterNode. - The deciding factor came down to the helpdesk. The local help that I could understand versus TPGs Indian call centre that had to repeat everything because I couldn't understand her.

I'm with TPG and it's good... The only thing is I am on ADSL2+ but i was getting drop outs 20 times a day or more. So they change my speed down to adsl1 and now its stable as. So really what im trying to say is that the phone company lets you down more then anything when it comes to fast internet.

i decided against tpg, i'm gonna stay with iinet. They offer one bill and i really can't be arsed with telstra for my fone & TPg for the internet.
iiNet gave in and gave me a few sweeteners so i will stay put.
