Battery terminal clamps
My BA Ford wouldn't start this morning. Discovered half of that clamp/collar that sits around the battery terminal has corroded into thin air. Well actually into pretty blue copper sulphate powder anyway.
Anyone replaced one of these? Know where to get one in Melb, even aftermarket ones?

ya local auto spare parts shop
As Mango says.
This time coat them to protect them and kick your service departments butt.
just run boiling water over it and coat it with Battery terminal protector, there really is not any need to replace it unless it's broken

It's actually eaten away half that ring that makes up the O clamp. Absolutely vanished. Never seen it happen this bad. Had a better look at it last night and it looks like those clamp ends are crimped onto the ends of the battery leads. So I'm looking for just that part. I'm sure Ford spares will try and sell me a whole set of leads anyway.
Definitely will coat the terminal clamps in future. Hard to find a service center these days that checks all those minor things. I'll have to check the service book when I find it to see if it's on the factory checklist. Otherwise will make up one of my own. I check fluid levels once a month but you never think of checking some things like the battery terminals under those plastic cowls they put over them these days.
There are clamps that either sandwich your leads between the clamp and a plate, or ones that you place the lead into a hole on the end and lock with a bolt.
Both are for sale at any auto parts store, just cut your old clamp off, strip a little insulation off the end and fit the clamp on.
If you know the exact length of your lead its possible to buy them ready made to length also.
