Google hijack

G'day all, I've apparently been downloading things I shouldn't have and now all my google search results get redirected. Does anyone know of a easy fix. It makes it difficult to research when you don't have a functioning search engine!

Dunno how you find it, but seem to recollect that Yahoo had opened their own Search Engine. Or was that MS?

Thanks for taking the time to respond beer4life, although I think I fixed the problem with a system restore.

It sounds like you might have had a browser hijacker sneak its way in to your computer. It can happen when you install new software as well , they have shit in small writing saying they will be changing your search provider.

Good to hear system restore fixed it though I would still probably run Hijack This and check it isnt still in there somewhere.

I ain't been to porno sites for ages...what time is it now?

I have had coops problem a couple of times and managed to get rid of it, but stuffed if I remember how.

I'm not aware of having any major problems at the minute.
Do you think I should run this program you suggested anyway or should I leave things as they are.

Can this program be downloaded and saved for use when it may be necessary?

Moeee , I would recommend downloading and installing it ( Malwarebytes ) as it is a worthwhile program to have.

I recommended hijack this as I think it gives you a more comprehensive ( technically ) look at what it is.
