Default DM7020 records one channel & watch another

Not sure what's going on here.

Have a DM7020 original running PLI Iolite and a hard drive.

After setting up a number of timer recordings have found that if I am watching for example fox sports 1 and recording fox sports 2, I can continue to watch fox sports 1 while the dream still records fox sports 2.

What's the story with this when the DM7020 only has one tuner.

Are the 2 channels on the same transponder ? I think thats the only without a twin tuner.

I am sure someone will know.

Hi Sanity. Yeah the 2 channels were on the same transponder. Now that you mention it I've noticed in the past if you try and change channels while recording, then your channel list will dispaly certain channels only.

It seems those channels are not only on the same transponder but also the same polarity, horizontal or vertical. Those channels can be viewed.

certain channels on the same transponder only, and if your timer takes you another transponder (a different one) you will notice you can no longer view what you were watching and have to change channel as to follow what you are recording.
