Default Nintendo Ds Lite or DSI?

Going to purchase a ds this week. I would like to know opinions on which one to get as im contemplating wether to get the ds lite or dsi. Will the new acecard work on the dsi? Would greatly appreciate some feedback.

A DSiTT card will also work on both DS and DSi the only catch is you need a high speed micro SD card. I don't think this is a bad thing as they are all you can purchase now. They have the software required on the website as well.

Will stick with the acekard2i. Anyone of you's got a dsi yet?

Hmm well they locked out the old cards through a new firmware. I wouldn't be shocked if they did it again with the current models (heard something about it being done on the DSi in Europe).

I wouldn't get a DSi. Why? GBA slot is missing, battery life is worse (up to 50%), and the additions are gimmicky IMHO (0.3 camera, and old games from Nintendo). Plus it costs more!
Coding in C is like sending a 3 year old to do groceries. You gotta tell them exactly what you want or you'll end up with a cupboard full of pop tarts and pancake mix.

DSTTi cards work on Aussie DSi's,I know as i've tried them.
    The normal DSTT doesn't though.

After using it i'll be getting one for sure.It seems a lot better all over.
The bigger screens are nice,it has brightness adjustment on the fly.
Feels lighter and easier to hold.I've never used the GBA slot before anyway,so no problem for me there,i'd much rather have the memory card slot to save photos and music on.(And a slimmer unit)
Satin type finish is better than the old glossy case.
After using one i'd say the extra $100 is well worth it.

Like roguefan said the only problem that is concerning me with the new dsi is its battery life 840mA battery compared to the ds lite's 1000mA. Although i read on the specs that the DSi has 4 brightness settings compared to the dslites 3. So maybe if you have it on the 3rd highest setting the battery will last longer? Who knows ive never owned a ds before but i might as well get a new one.

I too don't want to spend the extra hundred for a crappy camera and little cosmetic differences but whats leaning me towards buying one is it's 17% larger screen and MORE RAM 16mb compared to 4mb of the ds. And have read that future games will be better suited with the extra ram and will be able to cram more into the game. I think it's winning me over , although i don't like the price of the acekard2i which is $69 compared to the DS dstt card which is $39.

    deal extreme

i would probably go for the acekard 2i though as the dstt doesnt have and updateable bootload and the acekard is only a couple of dollars more expensive.

Yep, but they should give you free shipping, takes about 1.5 weeks to get the stuff, thats the worst part.
